Kettles with whistles, and long skipping ropes
Tea towels, bedspreads, tin openers and lamps
Screws, nails even odd stamps
Fireworks in November, Daffodil bulbs in spring
This little shop sold everything
Fireguards, companion sets, or toasting fork
A runner for the sideboard, roasting tins and chalk
Bolts, brass, ordered glass, and any garden tools
Deck chair fabric, steps, dustbins, even kitchen stools
They did a weekly savings club, in the window I would stare
You could get lots of things at TROTT"S the hardware shop
