SOME DREAMS ARE SO REAL
I dreamt I passed our old house, the place where I grew up
Mum was cooking in the kitchen, in my dream I stood and looked
Dad was in our little garden, he liked to keep it nice
Michaelmas daisies in abundance he'd grown them once or twice
Dinners on the table.....mum said in her happy voice
We ate it and enjoyed it, there was no second choice
There was my mum, dad, and sisters three
Our Sue, Elaine Vicki and me!
Dad nicknamed us the famous five
And we girls ...all spoilt him
Memories are so wonderful
If we could live them once again
Mum clears the plates from the table
Bread and butter pudding for our "sweet”
When the washing up was done,
We'd go and play out in the street
A ball is thrown at me, and landed on my head
Sadly my dream was over. I’ve just woke up in bed.
