Messages are coming from all around the world.
It made me think of all those that left Nottingham!
When we were young
Do you remember, time went by so slow
The fun we had with friends
Is the happy past, we all know
Like schooldays, outings
Sisters, brothers, dads and mams
Making memories on the way
We didn't think of “grown up plans."
We were just happy children
In our school years
Now we share photos and stories
That bring back "happy tears”
With lovely family we were blest
Our house, neighbours and street
Everything was always so good
(I'd certainly turn the clock back) if only I could!
On the St Ann's Pre Demolition (1970) Site
It's amazing to look and Browse
To all the old St Ann's days
Before we got re--housed
We may not see each other
Or we're living far apart
But I'll cherish those childhood memories
I've tucked them safe in my heart
The Pubs, Churches, Schools
And loving People are gone
But because of this site
We let our wonderful memories live on!!
Thanks to everyone who contributes
And of course to Tony and Mavis
For organising all the recollections THANK YOU.
