----- 🎅 MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎅--
2016
Another year's "gone by, so very fast"
On St Ann's Pre Demolition Site
We've all looked into the past
We've woken up memories
Of days gone by
Amazing stories and photographs
Can bring a tear to your eye
Mams, Dads, relations, kids and friends
Once you've logged to the computer
You don't want the memories to end
How children played on streets and park
At marbles, skipping. or with homemade go carts
And we'd be swinging around the lamppost until it was dark.
There was School and seaside holidays
That we always looked forward to
Trent Bridge, Pleasure Park, Nottingham Castle
So happy to visit with friends, (one day or two)
Phone boxes. Cinemas, Central Market
Today's kids can't remember
That we had presents for birthdays
Then waited until December
December means Santa, what would he bring?
Nurse outfits/cowboy outfits/bikes, scooters
Annuals, fruit, chocolates and other things
We saved for a Christmas food hamper
With lots of special treats to live like Kings
Now I'd like to Thank "Tony and Mavis"
The site's wonderful Admin
It makes us happy, turning back the clock
And we're all grateful to the time they put in
A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS
To everyone that contributes
Your memories we all can share
At the Gathering in July
We hope you will be there
Good Luck. Good Health
God Bless you All
When we start the New Year
I'll raise a glass to absent friends
And all you lovely folk on here xx
