It's 10 years since Frank the Xylophone man passed
Poor old Frank the Xylophone man
Had a plastic tub for his money
In Nottingham people treated him
They thought he was very funny
He did a service for little pay
And cheered the shoppers who came his way
His tunes were very similar
His arm would go to and fro
Other musicians came to town
"Dear Frank" let them know
Oh, I am the Xylophone Man
I never brag or boast
One day I'll make my mark
I'll be in the Nottingham Post
I'll have another tune
And a collection box I hope
I'll call it Pennies from Heaven
It could help homeless Nottingham folk
Start saving all those pennies
That you don't want in the bank
Put them in the Xylophone box
And remember Dear Old Frank
Poor old Frank the Xylophone man
Had a plastic tub for his money
In Nottingham people treated him
They thought he was very funny
He did a service for little pay
And cheered the shoppers who came his way
His tunes were very similar
