EASTER
In the St Ann's Well Road archive of photos, there's one that was in the Saturday night Sunday morning exhibition,
I had a poem that went with this 1960 photo ..55years have gone by but The memories of Easter Parades lives on !! In her Easter Bonnet, with frills piled high upon it She's everybody's Auntie full of kindness and treats, But she's my auntie Eliza and though I Idolise her, She's loved by all her family ,and everyone that she meets . Her Bonnet full of Nottingham Lace And Daffodils around her face She'll win although it's not a race Our Auntie Eliza's got first place . She's special, she's lovely, she's just ace At Sunday school we sang our hearts out There is a Green Hill Far Away.... I was a mere kid, who loved my Easter Egg and still do |
